A welcome from the Headteacher

At St Mary's Church in Wales School we believe that every child has the right to receive the best eduucation possible and we strive to provide that.  Education is not purely about academic standards, it involves the whole child - his/her physical, moral, social, spiritual, creative and aesthetic development.

As a Voluntary Aided School, we have close links with St Mary the Virgin Church within the Diocese of Swansea and Brecon.  The Christian relationship is reflected in the high standard of moral, social and spiritual values that permeates the school.

The world in which we live is changing aat a rapid rate.  It is essential that we provide our children, not only with the knowledge, but also the skills and attitudes that they need to become independent and confident lifelong learners.

Education is like a journey, where the 'ride' is as important as the destination itself.  Learning must be rewarding, exciting and fun!  It must stimulate our children to want more.  Choosing the right school for your child is an important decision.  St Mary's provides a wonderful environment in which our children can learn and grow.  We aim to work in partnership with parents, to seek ways in which we can further enhance the children's education, so that every child receives the best possible start to their educational journey.
